Bryan's journey in the oil industry traces back to 1975, when he honed his skills in tank calibration with East West Lines. His passion for the trade led him to embark on a career as a fuel delivery driver for Arco, where he spent eight years refining his craft. In 1997, he transitioned to become an owner-operator, acquiring his first truck and trailer. Over the next three years, Bryan specialized in hauling corrosives and government defense fuels, laying the foundation for his future endeavors.
In 2003, Bryan joined South West Trails, expanding his fleet with a second truck and trailer. During his 11-year tenure, he partnered with esteemed petroleum companies such as Boyett, SC Fuels, IPC, and others, solidifying his reputation for reliability and professionalism.
Driven by a spirit of innovation and fueled by a shared family vision, American Oil ventured into new horizons within the petroleum industry. Collaborating with his dedicated team, Bryan's children, the company diversified its portfolio, venturing into wholesaling petroleum products and independent gas stations.
In 2017, American Oil reached a pivotal milestone with the acquisition of its first retail gas station in Long Beach, California. Known for offering the lowest fuel prices in the city, exceptional customer service, and premium-quality fuel on par with industry leaders, the station became the foundation of our success. Since then, we've expanded by acquiring additional stations, solidifying our presence and driving our mission to continue growing across the region.
